About Marcus
Marcus Bell started his career as a county prosecutor, where he tried misdemeanors and then felonies in quick succession and learned to prepare a case in days rather than months. After six years he left to open a small civil litigation practice focused on contract disputes and personal injury matters.
He has tried more than 40 cases to verdict. When he is not in trial, his days are spent reviewing discovery, taking depositions, preparing witnesses and talking through settlement options. He also teaches trial advocacy workshops for newer lawyers, mostly on direct examination and building a case theory.
Marcus hosts because law school teaches doctrine but rarely shows how a trial is actually built. Every session uses a mock case file created for teaching, and he never discusses real client matters or anything privileged.
